We ate at your place twice (on the way from CPT to Namibia and back) and it was great both times (and 2 times breakfast). Both the meat, the fish, the appetizer and the omelets for breakfast. And…. a strong real cappuccino! In short: a real treasure worth taking a detour for!

We stayed at Olifantsrus Guest house, Anyas the owner looked after us very well. We stayed in Room 4 which was charming and overlooked the garden with friendly cats who came to visit us. The food in their restaurant called The Citrus the village of Citrusdal was absolutely 5 star. Johannes is a chef with stunning ideas on what food is all about, supurb. Reasonably priced for the quality on offer. This was the highlight of our trip. Do yourselves a favour and go and eat there. Mind blowing.

Die Sitrus in Citrusdal, South Africa
If you're trekking through South Africa stop by Die Sitrus for a great cup of coffee and a piece of pie.

Last Sunday (28/02/2010) we stopped for a drink at "Die Sitrus" on our way from Ceres to Veldriff, then we decided to have some light lunch. The food was excellent, better than you get in Italy. Compliment for the shef, and the nice Lady who served us.

We stopped in Citrusdal on our way back to Cape Town, to be honest we didn't expect much of a small town restaurant but I was wrong. We couldn't believe how good the food was. I had the best piece of meat, in a real long time. The owner is a French lady and she makes amazing cocktails! It was a great experience. A place well-managed with excellent food!
